SPEAKERS:

Eric R. McClafferty
Eric McClafferty is a partner in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. He focuses his practice on international trade and has substantial experience in export controls and compliance. Mr. McClafferty advises clients on export licensing and classification, performs due diligence export compliance reviews, and establishes company and product specific compliance and training programs. Additionally, Mr. McClafferty guides clients through export enforcement investigations and penalty negotiations.

David H. Laufman
David Laufman is a partner in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. He focuses his practice on federal criminal investigations and prosecutions, congressional investigations, corporate compliance, U.S. trade controls, and government contract bid protest litigation. Mr. Laufman previously served as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Attorney General and as Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, where he prosecuted export control and economic sanctions cases.

Laurence J. Lasoff
Laurence Lasoff is a partner in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. He has nearly three decades of experience helping a broad spectrum of clients navigate the complex regulatory hurdles of international trade and customs. Mr. Lasoff has represented in regulatory proceedings and counseled exporters in a wide range of defense and technology sectors, and has etablished compliance and training programs for companies in these sectors.

Darryl W. Jackson
Darryl Jackson is a partner in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. His export controls practice concentrates on compliance and defending corporations and executives against enforcement actions, including criminal indictments and civil administrative cases. Mr. Jackson previously served as the assistant secretary of commerce for export enforcement at the Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). He also served for more than a decade as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington, D.C.
